Who We Serve

Adaptive Adventures serves children, adults, and veterans with physical disabilities and their families. Clients include persons with amputations, paraplegia, quadriplegia, birth defects, cerebral palsy, disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, PTSD, spina bifida, stroke, traumatic brain injury and visual impairments. Our motto is all ages, all abilities, all seasons!

Adaptive Adventures provides progressive outdoor sports opportunities to improve quality of life for children, adults and veterans with physical disabilities and their families. Driven by its belief in “freedom through mobility,” Adaptive Adventures helps clients to develop self confidence, become more self sufficient and increase their level of health and wellness. Our primary sports include alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, and snowboarding, cycling, handcycling, kayaking, sailing, wakeboarding, water-skiing, and whitewater rafting. Subsets of these general programs include: Adaptive Sports for Kids (ASK) for children K – 12, includes Team Mau, an advanced program for youth looking to ski or cycle competitively; Adaptive Adventures Military Opportunities (A.A.M.O.) Program, including Wounded Warrior camps; and, Education and Outreach programs to recruit participants and mentors for youth, adults and veteran’s events.
